JOB DESCRIPTION:-
- Assist with the unloading, unboxing, configuring, and deploying of new equipment and
- surplus the end-of-life hardware.
- Pre-Deployment activities:
- Assist with the unloading and unboxing of new equipment
- Scan all equipment to update asset management databases
- Move and scan equipment from inventory locations/storage locations
- Stage and deliver equipment to set up lab
- Unbox new hardware and associated peripherals
- Install standard image and post image applications following the District’s
- procedures
- Install Software applications unique to each customer
- Migrate customer’s data files from their old computer to the new computer
Deployment / installation activities:
a. Deliver completed computer system to customer by schedule
b. Scan assets to user and office location (using District provided scanner)
c. Setup and verify functionality (i.e. network connections, peripherals)
d. Remove old computer equipment and bring it to setup area for proper disposal
3. Troubleshoot all installation problems related to the Windows 11 Operating System,
MS Office 365 Suite, MS Outlook / Exchange, Teams, Internet Web browsers, network
connectivity (including wireless), Citrix, PC hardware and peripherals.
4. Take all necessary steps available to ensure customer satisfaction.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:-
- Must have a general knowledge of the different types of computer equipment and
- peripherals (computers, monitors, keyboards, cables, etc.)
- Must be able to follow direction, procedures and work as part of a team
- Must have experience with Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheet of equipment
- Must have a valid driver’s license (travel to remote locations may be required
